Cash App founder Bob Lee stabbed to death

Bob Lee, the founder of Cash App and former chief technology officer at Square, was stabbed to death on Tuesday morning.

Bob Lee, the founder of Cash App and former chief technology officer at Square, was stabbed to death on Tuesday morning, close to downtown San Francisco in the United States.

Police were called to a stabbing report in the city’s Rincon Hill neighbourhood, in the 300 block of Main Street, at around 2:35 a.m., according to media reports. 

Mr Lee was discovered at the scene and taken to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds later.

Although the victim’s identity was still unknown as of Tuesday night, close associates of Mr Lee confirmed that he was the victim of the fatal attack.

Mr Lee, the chief product officer of San Francisco-based cryptocurrency startup MobileCoin, was 43 years old. 

His demise has sparked a flood of condolences on social media from friends, family, and coworkers, many of whom shared their condolences on Twitter.

No arrests have been made. 

San Francisco police have not disclosed any suspect information. 

Mr Lee was renowned for his creative work in the sector and his contribution to creating Cash App, a well-liked digital payment platform.
