Fire guts Balogun market shoe section

A fire outbreak on Tuesday destroyed some goods in the shoe section of Balogun market, Lagos Island.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
A source in the market said the fire broke out where ladies’ shoe dealers are located.
Jubril Gawat, a media aide of the state governor, confirmed the information.
He said the Lagos fire service officials are on the ground to combat the fire.
“Two divisions of our Lagos Fire Service are on ground already,” he said.
He added that firefighters from the United Bank of Africa are also helping the state operatives to combat the fire.
Details later.
