Hussey’s career spanned decades, with roles in films like “Black Christmas” (1974) and “Jesus of Nazareth” (1977), where she played the Virgin Mary.

Despite facing challenges in her personal life, including health battles, she remained a beloved figure in cinema and a source of inspiration for many.

Born on April 17, 1951, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Hussey moved to London as a child.

After her breakout role, she appeared in notable projects such as “The Man with Bogart’s Face” (1980) and voiced characters in animated works like “Star Wars: Episode I—The Phantom Menace.”

She survived breast cancer in the 2000s and became an advocate for early detection.
