Saudi Arabia adds four more to 68 countries whose citizens are eligible for tourist e-visa

Saudi Arabia has added four countries to its tourist electronic visa (e-visa) list, bringing the total number of eligible nationalities to 72.
The four new countries added to the e-visa list are Mexico, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and North Macedonia according to Khaleejtimes.
Citizens from these countries can now apply for tourist e‑visa online and obtain it upon arrival at designated entry points in the Kingdom.
The kingdom said the tourist e‑visa is valid for one year and holders may stay for up to 90 days.
The tourist e‑visa allows holders to attend tourism events, exhibitions and conferences. It also allows holders to visit relatives and friends and performing Umrah outside the jajj season.
However, Saudi Arabia authorities warned visitors against overstaying their authorised period. They noted that visa renewal is not available until the existing tourist e‑visa expires.
For multiple‑entry tourist e‑visas the permitted duration of stay is cumulative. The overall number of days spent in the kingdom reduces with each visit.
The expansion is part of Saudi Arabias efforts to attract international visitors. The expansion also simplifies travel procedures as Saudi Arabia develops its tourism sector.
The country’s tourist e‑visa package combines visa processing with flight bookings, accommodation and optional tourism experiences and activities.
The ministry of hajj and umrah also introduced a multiple‑entry umrah visa. The Umrah visa is valid for 365 days from issuance. The visa allows pilgrims to visit Saudi Arabia many times and it is subjected to entry requirements and hajj‑season restrictions.
