Stop pushing your luck, come for dialogue now, NSA Monguno tells protesters

National security adviser Babagana Monguno has warned protesters to desist from pushing their luck and come for dialogue with the government.
Mr. Monguno said shortly after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House on Thursday that the protesters should not show a dark impression of Nigeria to foreigners.
“The security agencies have been asked to apply as much restraint as possible. But then again, the youths should also understand that pushing their luck might also result in unwanted issues.
“So, it is very very important for everyone to take stock of what has already happened and not give a dark impression of this country to the international community,” Mr. Monguno said.
Mr. Monguno’s comments came two days after soldiers shot protesters in Lagos, killing at least nine.
