The Polytechnic, Ibadan (TPI), will restart its full academic activities and likely resume its examinations on Monday.

The institution’s public relations officer, Soladoye Adewole, disclosed this in Ibadan on Friday.

This follows Thursday’s suspension of the strike by five Oyo State-owned tertiary institutions over the non-payment of minimum wages and other arrears.

Mr Adewole said it was unlikely for examinations to resume on Friday because many students had stayed away from school due to the strike.

“I know that the examinations committee will expedite action and probably resume examinations on Monday,” Mr Adewole said.

Meanwhile, a lecturer, who spoke anonymously, said not many people, especially the students, were aware the strike had been called off.

The lecturer said the examinations would likely resume on Monday, a week after they were stopped by the strike.
