Suspected ritualists nabbed scooping woman’s urine

Two suspected ritualists were caught while attempting to pack an unidentified lady’s urine around Evbotubu Bus Stop, Benin city, Edo State.
This incident happened as a lady urinated at the roadside while two guys rushed to pack the urine after the lady left the spot, according to a report.
They were caught by some youths in the community and were interrogated. While they were being interrogated one of them said he was packing the urine with the intention of disposing of it, while the other one said he wanted to pack it to perceive the smell.
“The reasons they gave sounds so illogical, their purpose was to use the urine for ritual,” said a youth in the community.
Ritualists’ activities have become rife around the country recently. Last week, suspected ritualises murdered Bamidele Ayanwola in a Bus rapid transit (BRT) in Lagos, severing her private parts. Last month, three teenagers in Abeokuta beheaded one of their girlfriends. They confessed that they intended to use the head for money rituals.
The federal government blames upsurge in the barbaric acts on the influence of Nigerian home videos which portrays rituals as a way of life.
