Mr Igboke noted that there would not be confusion and conflicts between federal and state police.
The lawmaker said that most state laws are obsolete and need to be replaced with current laws that would bring sanity to the legal system.
The police warned that such actions could undermine public peace and safety.
Mr Soludo expressed confidence that the lingering terrorism would finally be defeated with the federal government’s increased commitment.

Mr Soludo announced this on Thursday in Awka, during the presentation of the vehicles to the police commissioner, Ikioye Orutugu.
“I have always said that we want to know our position in Nigeria, are we strangers? We are the people who formed this country called Nigeria,” said Mr Nwobodo.
“I want to commend the police operatives, other security agencies, and Anambra residents for their dedication,” said Mr Orutugu.
