Yaba magistrates’ court has denied popular Yoruba actor Olarenwaju James aka Baba Ijesha bail.
Though the actor had fulfilled all the bail conditions, he had yet to be formally released by the judiciary.
Police said he cannot be indefinitely detained unlawfully to answer for his alleged crime.
“So, Baba Ijesha is being kept with the police not within our own power, but because of the legal advice from the DPP.”
