Mr Edafe said, “The CP calls on residents of Onicha-Olona, Asaba, and neighbouring communities to support the police in the ongoing manhunt for the suspects.”
The suspect had escaped the Oko Correctional Centre in Benin City during the EndSARS jailbreak in October 2020.
The eldest daughter alleged that her father started defiling her when she was in primary six.
The police spokesman added that operatives of the command won’t relent until residents stay away from crime.
Mr Edafe said that the rescued victims had since reunited with their families.
The police have arrested two suspects for helping suspected kidnappers receive N21 million ransom, meant for the release of a victim kidnapped in Asaba.
According to him, the suspect was a key supplier of weapons to bandit groups in Northern Nigeria.
The state police spokesperson noted that other suspects would be arrested.
Police authorities in Delta are yet to issue an official statement on the incident as of press time.
Mr Edafe stated that some dispatch riders hiding under courier firms use them to transport hard drugs.
