The case was adjourned to October 2 for hearing.
The magistrate adjourned the matter until October 12 for hearing.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against her.
The police prosecutor alleged that the defendant on April 25 dubiously collected N210, 000 from the complainant.
The prosecutor said that the offence contravened Sections 329(3) and 302(1) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021.
“The defendant was sighted by a security guard in the process of stealing the appliances, which led to his arrest while the others escaped,” the prosecutor said.
The prosecutor said the defendant presented the complainant with fake travelling documents as genuine.
Ms Akintayo said that Adesugba’s inability to account for how the proceeds of sale disappeared was enough to find her guilty.
The defendant, who resides in Goni-gora Kaduna, is charged with stealing, to which she pleaded not guilty.
The convict pleaded guilty to a one-count charge of theft.
