EFCC has expressed grave concerns over federal government officials stealing royalties and licensing fees, engaging in illicit financial flows.
Abdulrasheed Bawa, has told the United Nations General Assembly that the anti-graft agency exposes Nigeria’s corruption “by the day.”
Some of the victims said the alleged suspect persuaded them to invest after listening to his weekly radio programme.
Mr Bawa himself had been subject to arrest and investigation for his untidy involvement in the disposal of confiscated assets.
Anti-graft officials were accused of extorting money from students during a raid of young students around Owo earlier this week.
“Nigerians in diaspora must join hands with President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration to fight against corruption for a better Nigeria.”
Abdulrasheed Bawa is seeking to curb money laundering and other illicit financial flows by deploying unconstitutional tactics of his own.
