The offences contravene the provisions of Sections 249(d), 451 and 508 of the Criminal Law of Oyo State, 2000.
The police on Friday arraigned two people before the Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan for stealing slippers.
“The complainant said the defendant begged him for forgiveness, and he decided to pardon him, considering the fact that they live in the same area,” the police said.
Mr Sani was charged with conspiracy and stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Elisha Tellang, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on November 21, at about 12:30 p.m., at Rainbow Estate, Arapaja, Ibadan.
Mr Obitade, whose address was not provided, was charged with conspiracy, land grabbing, malicious damage, and stealing.
