Mr Ahmed also emphasised the need to reappraise all efforts carried out on every incident that occurred.
The incident which happened in the wee hours of the day was caused by leakage of gas cylinders from a shop.
The Yaba fire incident followed an earlier report of another fire outbreak at Adeola Odeku in Victoria Island.
The incident occurred around 9:40 p.m. at Adeleye Street, Lady Lark in Bariga.
“The fire ignited as a result of a power surge when electricity was restored. Fortunately, there was no casualty in the incident.”
Residents of the building had already evacuated the building when they noticed the signs two hours before the collapse.
The death toll of the collapsed building in Ikoyi has risen to six on Tuesday after rescuers dug up three more bodies from the rubble.
“We can’t ascertain loss of life yet. The agency is working along with Lagos And federal fire services to control the fire.”
