The police said the suspects would be charged in court upon completion of investigation.
He said the group had lost confidence in the commissioner’s ability to provide adequate security during the election.
Mr Ojelabi added that those injured in the incidents had been evacuated by the police to medical facilities for treatment.
The command advised political parties to reschedule rallies planned for Wednesday, citing security concerns.
The state Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan, cautioned the public against spreading unverified information capable of inciting fear or disrupting public peace.
The police command in Osun says it has put in place comprehensive security measures to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Eid-el-Kabir celebration across the state.
He urged members of the public to remain vigilant.
“Immediately we heard about the incident, our tactical teams were deployed, and they have been on the trail of the suspects,” said the police.
Mr Ojelabi said the ban became necessary due to the security situation in the country.
