The Taminu Turaki-led National Working Committee of the PDP says INEC cannot choose the party’s leadership.
The Abdulrahman Mohammed-led National Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party has fixed March 28 and March 29 for the party’s national convention in Abuja.
Mr Wike made the remarks at the party’s 105th National Executive Committee meeting in Abuja on Monday night.
Mr Johnson said that further instructions would be announced in due course.
The caretaker committees were approved by the National Working Committee on behalf of the National Executive Committee.
“We are not pocketed and dictated to as some other parties are. We are NNPP. We are united and focused,” said the party’s chairman.
PDP has mourned Deputy Governor of Bayelsa Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, describing his death as explicable loss, and indescribable pain.
There has been a running battle between Mr Daniel and Mr Abiodun, whose government in August marked the Sagamu residence and luxury hotel of Mr Daniel for demolition.
Mr Mohammed accused Mr Wike of working for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The PDP stated that Mr Ezenwafor’s suspension, which will last for one month, takes effect immediately.
