“This is a good omen for PDP and I can assure you that PDP is not going to lose any election any more,” the party chieftain said.
The opposition had touted the exercise as a harbinger of the 2023 general elections, in which Nigerians face the question of whether to remove or retain the party in power.
The corps said it was worried that suspected miscreants could capitalise on the opportunity to carry out mischievous activities.
The group also said that 79 per cent of INEC poll officers addressed voters before 8:30 a.m., the official time for poll opening.
The governorship candidate said using “state boys” for the election was unfortunate and detrimental to democratic good governance.
The APC agents are said to be working in tandem with corrupt security officers.
The Oluwo of Iwo, Rasheed Akanbi, said he was endorsing the governor because he was prompt in paying civil servants salaries.
Mrs Okei-Odumakin said the turnout was due to the “sensitisation and awareness” by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The Accord Party candidate also commended security agencies for their professional conduct.
Some voters at the polling area also said they entered a vote-buying deal with agents of the ruling APC.
