NAPTIP urged anyone with credible information on Speed Darlington’s whereabouts to contact them immediately.
NAPTIP emphasised that Speed Darlington’s failure to honour the invitation could result in further legal action.
During an Instagram live session, Darlington admitted he paid hotel staff to change the soiled sheet, making light of the disturbing incident.
The fight between the duo was backed by the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control Chairman.
Speed Darlington’s release comes six days after the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court granted him bail.
“Police finally arraign Speed Darlington in court. Bail application moved and granted. We are trying to perfect the same,” Mr Adeyanju stated.
The police had previously ignored a December 2024 court order directing Speed Darlington’s release.
Although Mr Darlington was released on bail on October 8, he was rearrested and transferred to Abuja in November.
Justice Liman ordered the police chief to charge Mr Achakpo to court or release him on bail unconditionally within 48 hours.
