Mr Adegbenro alleged that Bashiru stole 25 full-length iron rods worth N257, 000 belonging to Green Pasture Farms, Oluyole, Ibadan.
The prosecutor alleged that the defendants knew their representation was false as they failed to provide the land but made away with the money.
The worker allegedly stole spaghetti, red wine, noodles, rice, and sardines. The accused denied the charge.
The suspect was charged with house entry, theft and malicious damage.
On Monday, four persons appeared before the Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun for stealing scaffolding and iron rods worth N28 million.
The Chief Magistrate, Nurudeen Layeni, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N1 million with two sureties in like sum.
During his arraignment, an interpreter was provided to translate the charge to the defendant in Hausa.
The magistrate adjourned the case until June 4, for hearing.
A 29-year-old woman, Ademola Adenike, was arraigned at the Ota Magistrates’ Court in Ogun for stealing N6.8 million from her employer.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.
