Mr Ozigbo, who left the LP in February last year, said he left the party for the ruling APC because “in my own case, I was literally sacrificed.”
The November 8 governorship election aspirant recounted that he joined the LP in 2023 and contributed to mobilisation and fundraising.
Mr Ozigbo pledged to contribute significantly to the growth and success of the party.
“Pulled by the brilliance of the candidacy of Obi and Datti, inspired by the passion of the Nigerian youths…, I, Valentine Ozigbo…formally join the Obidient movement.”
Mr Soludo polled a total of 112,229 votes to defeat his closest rival, Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 53, 807 to emerge second.
“I was made to sign the election papers under duress,” Mr Otu narrated during collation of results at Akwa on Sunday.
The candidates of APC and PDP are the runners-up so far.
