Tinubu sends delegation to Oyo teachers, schoolchildren’s families two weeks after mass abduction

A delegation sent by President Bola Tinubu has visited the communities where over 40 staff and schoolchildren were abducted in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Sunday Dare, spokesperson for Mr Tinubu and a member of the delegation, confirmed the visit to Esiele and Yawota in a statement on Sunday.
The visit comes two weeks after the abduction by suspected terrorists.
According to Mr Dare, the delegation was led by the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila.
“President Tinubu has set in motion a series of coordinated efforts to free the victims and arrest the kidnappers,” Mr Dare said.
He said other members of the delegation included the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; the Inspector General of Police, Tunde Disu; the Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa; and the Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe.
