Since the submission of the report of the Lagos #EndSARS Panel, there have been lots of threats and attacks, by those suspected to be agents of the government, upon me.
Peoples Gazette highlights key findings in the report by the Lagos Panel which was submitted to the state government on Monday.
Mr Buhari disclosed this at State House, Abuja, while receiving in audience Mr Antony Blinken, United States Secretary of State on Thursday.
The lawyer said it was in “utmost public interest that citizens, particularly the victims of police gangsterism, transparently access a copy of the report and its recommendations.”
The minority caucus led by Ndudi Elumelu in a statement on Thursday made this call while reacting to the report by the judicial panel set up by Lagos State government.
“Men of the Nigerian Army that were deployed to the Lekki Tollgate…should be made to face appropriate disciplinary action, stripped of their status, and dismissed…”
“The panel found that there was an invitation of the Nigerian Army to Lagos State made by the Lagos State government through the governor.”
Evidence also showed that operatives of the Lagos Police Command also arrived at the protest ground and killed protesters after the army left.
The complainant is seeking for the enforcement of a judgment given by Justice A.I. Chikere of Federal High Court, Abuja, in his favour.
