He said the exercise would hold from May 4 to May 9.
The Nigerian Defence Academy on Thursday announced plans to conduct a live firing exercise for cadets of the 76 Regular Course.
“The general public is urged to comply with this directive in the interest of their safety,” the statement said.

NDA has charged newly promoted officers to imbibe the core principles of command, leadership, and management as foundational pillars for effective military service.
The academy’s spokesperson, Reuben Kovangiya, announced this in a statement on Wednesday.
The Nigerian Defence Academy has advised residents of Afaka, Kauya, and Mando to avoid its open range from Tuesday to November 7.
Mr Bashir urged members’ spouses, known as the “Unique 38 Ladies,” to continue to support the project.
The week-long sporting event was held at the NDA Sports Complex in Afaka.
