The minister said the right to protest as protected in the Constitution does not give right to inflict pain on others.
“It is just to show you the credit that must go to Buhari. Buhari does not act in panic,” said Mr Keyamo.
The federal government is urging the court to resolve the deadlock with ASUU quickly.
ASUU accused Mr Buhari’s regime of “a lot of deceit of the highest level in the last five and half years.”
A top ASUU operative said the three-hour meeting ended without any commitment to resolving the issue by either parties.
“The union will have no other option than to call out all our members in banks, insurance and other financial institutions in solidarity with ASUU.”
Mr Tinubu promised that the lingering ASUU strike would soon be called off and asked the university students to prepare for their resumption back to class.
“Our young people should get education to prepare them for self-employment. Now education is for the sake of education,” Mr Buhari explained.
I hope that for the future of Nigeria, people of conscience and foresight will prevail on the Buhari regime.
“The strike is justifiable but ASUU should also know that negotiations are always a win-win situation and not winner takes all.”
