Judge Otis Wright had last week rejected Ramon Abba’s request to continue the sentencing for two months in order to review additional documents relating to his plea deal.
The fierce objections come hours ahead of Mr Abbas’ sentencing at 1:30 p.m. on Monday in Los Angeles.
Mr Abbas’s actions come as his sentencing hearing is slated for September 21.
Hushpuppi has sought and received too many delays already, the prosecutors argued.
The FBI dropped some charges against popular Internet fraudster Ramon ‘Hushpuppi’ Abbas, in line with a plea deal between Mr Abbas and the U.S. government.
Ramon Abbas said his role in the indictment of Mr Kyari, which precipitated the downfall of Nigeria’s most-celebrated police officer, also put his family at grave risk in Nigeria.
Mr Abass entered a plea bargain agreement with the U.S. government in July 2021, seeking a lighter sentence.
Hushpuppi’s sentencing was earlier slated for July 11, and earlier on February 14.
Kevin Ajenifuja alleged before a U.S. district court in Washington that the trade secrets were sold to Vetiva Funds Managers Limited in Lagos.
