Troops rescue three kidnapped victims in Kaduna community

Troops under Operation Fansan Yamms have rescued three kidnapped civilians after responding to a distress call in Kushere Village, Kaduna State.
An operational report made available to journalists in Abuja on Tuesday stated that the incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, when bandits invaded the community and abducted three residents.
It said the victims were identified as Abdullahi, Saidu Julfe and Kamilu Joddi.
According to the report, troops deployed from Forward Operating Base (FOB) Dokan Karji received the distress call at about 1:00 a.m. and immediately mobilised to the area.
“On arrival, it was discovered that the bandits had already fled the community with the victims towards the Kafin Gora axis.
“The troops swiftly pursued the kidnappers, leading to an exchange of fire during which the three victims were successfully rescued.
“The criminals fled under pressure from troops, abandoning the victims,” it said.
The report noted that the general security situation within the area of responsibility remains calm but unpredictable, while troops’ morale and combat efficiency remain high.
It noted that the military has continued to sustain offensive operations against criminal elements across the North-West and North-Central regions.
