Mr Uzodimma received the Torch at the Imo Government House, after being brought into the city by Nigeria’s first Olympic gold medalist, Chioma Ajunwa.
Chioma Ajunwa-Opara said Okagbare’s residing in the United States means she had “a better knowledge than those (athletes) living in Nigeria.”
Brume has won Nigeria’s first Olympics medal in 13 years.
Mr Sanwo-Olu on Thursday handed over the key to a three-bedroom flat in Ipori, Lagos, to Ms Ajuma as a reward for winning Olympics gold medal for Nigeria in 1996.
Brume is expected to compete for Nigeria at the Tokyo Olympics slated for July and is widely seen as a potential medal hopeful for the country at the upcoming sporting fiesta.
